Fine Art Commissions
Fine art commissions range across a wide range of subjects and formats. Whether you have a clear idea in mind or only a starting point, we can discuss the concept, size, medium, references, timeline, and overall direction together. If you’re unsure whether a project is a good fit, feel free to ask.
-
Clients share their project idea, preferred size and medium, timeline, and any available reference material.
This information is reviewed and evaluated to see if the commission is a good fit and if the artist is available for the suggested time line.
This part of the process is free.
-
Once the artist accepts the commission, a commission agreement and invoice for the initial nonrefundable payment are issued to the client. Both must be completed to reserve a place in the artist’s schedule. The initial payment is applied toward the total cost of the commission.
-
The artist and client work together to establish the composition, references, materials, and overall direction of the piece. Up to three rounds of revisions are included during this stage. Any additional revisions are available for an added fee per revision.
-
Once the final concept is approved, the artist begins the final artwork based on the agreed design and scope.
Progress updates are shared at appropriate stages as the piece is completed.
-
The remaining balance is due upon completion and must be paid in full before the finished artwork is shipped, delivered, or released to the client.
Commission Policy: All commissions require a signed agreement before work begins. Initial payments and deposits are nonrefundable.
Initial payments and deposits serve to reserve time in the artist’s schedule and compensate for completed planning and creative development.
All initial payments are applied toward the total commission price and outlined in the signed agreement.
Three concept revision rounds are included; additional revisions are billed separately.
The Commission Process:
1:1 Creative Mentorship

Sessions can include project planning, portfolio development, feedback, creative problem-solving, accountability, and skill-building. Sessions can be scheduled as needed or on a recurring basis.
1:1 mentorship is client-led and goal-oriented, with the goal of being supported in the creation of a portfolio, body of work, project, creative routine, career direction, etc. Mentorship is to help support, plan, constructive feedback, and maintain accountability.
Individual mentorship sessions begin at $45 per hour and are tailored to the client’s creative goals, projects, and level of experience.
A four-session package is available for $170, providing consistent support for clients who would benefit from ongoing mentorship, project development, feedback, and accountability.
Sessions are scheduled by appointment. Any specialized materials, extended sessions, or services outside the standard mentorship scope will be discussed in advance.
